FWD Singapore has launched Imperial Fortune, an indexed universal life (IUL) product offered under its high-net-worth platform, FWD Private. Developed in collaboration with UBS Global Markets as the exclusive enhanced index solution provider, the plan is designed for affluent clients seeking sophisticated cross-border legacy and wealth-planning solutions. This product highlights Singapore’s role as a global wealth hub, where demand for flexible, tax-efficient life insurance structures continues to grow among high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals.
The Imperial Fortune plan offers allocations between two accounts. The Fixed Account currently credits 4.5% per annum, providing steady returns for policyholders seeking stability, while the Indexed Account delivers uncapped upside potential with a 0% floor to guard against market losses. In addition, the product includes a 2.3% cumulative annual guarantee on surrender or death benefits, giving clients a measure of certainty even in volatile market conditions. Starting from the fifth policy year, policyholders are also entitled to make partial withdrawals without charges, enhancing liquidity and flexibility. Complementary benefits such as a quit-smoking incentive, which provides non-smoker rates for the first three years, and incapacity coverage further demonstrate FWD’s focus on holistic wealth and lifestyle planning.
FWD Private was established in 2024 as part of FWD Group’s effort to expand its footprint in the global HNW insurance space. With operations spanning Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bermuda, the platform is positioned to provide both onshore and offshore life insurance solutions. Products under FWD Private are distributed through international brokers in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, including key wealth hubs such as Dubai and Switzerland. The launch of Imperial Fortune (SG) is part of a coordinated regional strategy that aligns with FWD’s goal of serving globally mobile clients with multi-jurisdictional needs.
Looking ahead, FWD Private plans to broaden its suite of offerings in 2025 to include more solutions focused on retirement, succession, and cross-border estate planning. This expansion underscores FWD’s ambition to become a leading provider of tailored life insurance products for high-net-worth individuals who require both investment flexibility and long-term wealth protection. By combining competitive crediting rates, downside protection, lifestyle incentives, and global distribution, Imperial Fortune (SG) positions itself as a compelling choice for affluent families seeking to preserve and grow their wealth across generations and borders.
